The day has finally arrived! After weeks of planning, thinking (and over thinking), we’re finally on the verge of departure. We set aside yesterday to finalize packing and preparing for any last minute emergencies but it turned out to be a non-event. We were done packing (lightly) in record time! I guess it helps that we are intentionally traveling light given the schedule we have over the next few weeks.
And we learned last night that some close friends are going to be in Spain at the same time. They’re heading to Northern Spains Camino de Santiago (The Way of St James) pilgrimage so we’re not likely to run into each other until our return from Madrid to Houston on the same day!
Note - The Santiago pilgrimage, also known as the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago), is a network of pilgrimage routes leading to the shrine of St. James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
